The Teachers Recruitment Board, Chennai has today published the Examination Results and Provisional List for Certificate Verification List (Tamil subject).


According to the TRB official website, the Written Competitive Examination for the Direct Recruitment for the Post of Post Graduate Assistants and Physical Education Director Grade - I Posts was held on 21.07.2013. The TRB released the Examination result for all the subjects except Tamil subject on 07.10.2013.

As expected, the Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai has today published the results of October 2013 Diploma results ahead of schedule.

How to become a Civil or Commercial Pilot?

To become a civil pilot the commercial pilot license (CPL) is mandatory. For this one has to do their Pilot course in organizations that are recognized by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation-DGCA. Presently there are 26 flying schools which offer pilot training in India. To get admissions into any of them one should get at least 55% marks in Maths and Physics in 10+2 (for Sc/ST/OBC 50% is enough). Age should be 17 to 18 years.


Selection process: written examination, pilot aptitude test and viva & interview.

Pilot Training Process:

Pilot training is given in three phases. In the first and second stages, there shall be ground duty training along with simulator training. Candidates are also trained in air navigation, flight planning, aviation meteorology, air regulations, RTR, cockpit resource management and so on during this course. In the third phase there shall be air training on the single and double engines. After basic training pilots have to fly the flights with different engines. After completing the training one should apply for Commercial Pilot License (CPL) to the DGCA. Related to aviation studies one should also complete five question papers. They should also pass out radio telephony (on air communication) and medical fitness exams. Then one can start their career as a co-pilot.

There are so many advanced pilot training centers in countries like US, UK and Canada. Those who have done a course in these organizations should qualify in the exam conducted by DGCA. Those who are financially well off can take pilot training in these countries.

Salaries for Pilots:

After completing pilot course the starting salary ranges from Rs 70,000. With one year experience the co-pilot can get from rupees one lakh to one lakh fifty thousand. Senior pilots are offered a salary of 2 to 3 lakhs per month and with 10 years seniority can easily demand more than 5 lakhs per month.

Pay scale and allowances of Air Force Pilots:

However one enters into the air force as pilot after completing pilot course through the above mentioned five ways they shall get a stipend of Rs 21,000 during the training period. After training one can start their career as a flying officer. At that time one get a salary of Rs 40,000 per month. There are also attractive allowances for pilots. They can also get promotion as lieutenant, squadron leader, wing commander, group captain, air commander and so on.

Pilot Training procedures:

In pilot course first technical training shall be given. A brief is given on all the issues related to the air craft. Yoga is taught to tackle air sickness. There are three phases in the training. They are pre flying training course, basic stage, advanced stage and ground training related to the basic concepts of flying. Those who have completed pre flying training are given basic stage training and after that advanced stage training follows. At this stage there shall be a 24 weeks training either at Air Force Academy, Allahabad or at Air Force Station, Bedar.

Specializations:

Based on the candidate's abilities any one category like fighter pilot, helicopter pilot or transport pilot is allotted. For fighter pilots, there is a 22 weeks training in Hakim pet. Helicopter pilots are trained for 22 weeks in the helicopter training school, Hakim pet and 22 weeks training in Yelahanka (Bangalore).
