Tamil Nadu DA from 1.7.2013 announced.
On 10th October 2013, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J.Jayalalitha announced the Dearness Allowance increase from 1st July 2013. As per this announcement the increased DA will be 10%. By the announcement of increased DA, the present rate of DA will be 90% (from 80%).
As per the press release issued today, the DA announced will be paid in cash with retrospective effect from 1.7.2013 And the increased DA will be applicable to all Government servants, teachers, pensioners and family pensioners.
And the staff employed in local bodies and teachers of Government aided schools, staff of revenue department such as village assistants, anganwadi and midday meal workers are also eligible for the increased dearness allowance. By the announcement about 18 lakh employees will benefit and the government will incur an additional exchequer of Rs 2293 lakhs per year.
