Postman & Mail Guard vacancies: 258 (OC-157, SC-41, ST-38, OBC-22)

Break up of vacancies

Postman in Karnataka Post Offices– 248 (UR-150, SC-39, ST-37, OBC-22)

Mail Guards in Railway Mail Services – 10 (UR-7, SC-2, ST-1)

Pay Scale         : Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay 2000

Age between   : 18 to 27 years

Academic Qualifications: Matriculation.

Application Process: candidates may obtain the application forms from the head post offices of Karnataka Postal Circle or from website www.karnatakapost.gov.in. Duly filled in application forms along with copies of certificates need to be sent to "The respective divisional address given in the advertisement" on or before the last date 3^rd January, 2014.

Selection Process:

Written test: the candidates have to attend a written test for 100 marks in 90 minutes. The test consists of questions on General Knowledge, reasoning and analytical ability (25 marks), Mathematics (25 marks), English (25 marks) and Kannada language (25 marks).
